The MSPA is an association of professional companies whose goal is to improve and stimulate the acceptance, performance, reputation and use of mystery shopping and associated services.

MSPA Membership Categories

The definition of a provider as developed by the Board, is as follows: "A company that uses anonymous resources to perform evaluations of service and operations for third party clients."

Full Regular Company Membership:
Details of full membership are listed below and on the application form. in brief, these comprise:

• At least two years trading as a mystery shopping provider company
• Ability to provide 6 references, with at least 3 relating to Mystery Shopping
• A reputation for excellence in operational delivery
• Agreement to abide by and to apply the MSPA Code of Professional Ethics
• Agreement to abide by and to apply the MSPA Code of Professional Standards
• Ability to present a official proof of business existence (i.e. articles of incorporation, insurance records, or business license)

* Full regular company Members have a voting right within the MSPA Region they are registered

Additional Office Membership: 
(only applies in combination with a Regular MSPA EA Company Membership)

This add-on membership is an additional office of the Regular MSPA EA member company wishing to receive membership mailings, information and have a listing in the Resource Guide during the membership period of the Regular Membership. These members receive all benefits as Regular members, however do not have a voting right within the association.

Candidate Company Membership

Mystery shopping companies that have not yet traded for two years, but who meet all other criteria, are invited to join MSPA as Candidate Members.  They are encouraged to participate fully in MSPA activities, and may progress to Full Membership in the future. Candidate Members do not have a voting right within the association or can obtain a function within the MSPA Board of Directors.

Details of full membership are listed below and on the application form. in brief, these comprise:

• Up to two years trading as a mystery shopping provider company
• Ability to provide 3 trading references
• A reputation for excellence in operational delivery
• Agreement to abide by and to apply the MSPA Code of Professional Ethics
• Agreement to abide by and to apply the MSPA Code of Professional Standards
• Ability to present a official proof of business existence (i.e. articles of incorporation, insurance records, or business license)
• No Member Voting Rights*

* Voting rights are available when Full Membership is achieved

Associate Company Membership

Membership for companies or individuals who are not providers in our region OR are professionals involved in business as a subcontractor, consultancy, technology vendor, training company, HR provider, or other supporting trade company. Typically vendors who cooperate with or sell products/services to MSPA Mystery Shopping Company members. Associate members receive many of the benefits as Regular members, however do not have a voting right within the association or can obtain a function within the MSPA Board of Directors.

• Agreement to abide by and to apply the MSPA Code of Professional Standards

International Company Membership
(only applies in combination with a Regular Company Membership)

This add-on membership is for existing MSPA Members of the America or Asia/Pacific chapter who wish to expand their membership into MSPA Europe/Africa and access its unique benefits.
